We finally won a game! My reverse psychology worked! I said the Vikings would lose big against the Panthers and it was purely because I know the entire Vikings organization reads my blog. Well, they read it and it gave them the motivation to go out and finally win a game! It wasn't pretty, but the Vikings defense scored a huge strip sack touchdown that ended up being the game winning score and held the Panthers to 0 points in the second half. In fact, the 21-13 victory really was even more dominant than that. The Panthers scored 10 points off of Vikings offensive turnovers so it's good to see the Vikings defense able to step up when the offense is having an off day.
The 1-3 Vikings head back home to host the 3-1 Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in the world, but the Chiefs offense isn't quite as good as it has been in past years. The Vikings also don't have a very good defense, but it is better than last season. The Chiefs are better offensively and defensively than the Chargers, so I don't think this is going to be a great Sunday for our hometown team. I predict a 33-20 victory for the Chiefs and keep an eye on former Viking RB Jerrick McKinnon. I could see Mahomes and Andy Reid wanting Jerrick to get a score against his former team.
Good luck, Vikings! Go out a get a STATEMENT WIN and lets get this season back on track!
