Live Positive: Remind Yourself...

"Think positively, because positive thinking is more in alignment with your soul. Negative thinking will bring confusion and bitterness. Remind yourself several times a day to bring your mind to a positive place and send that positivity out." - James Van Praagh

"When you are suffering, seek a place of beauty and solitude. Make this effort to remind yourself that life is beautiful." - Richard Ferguson

"Remind yourself to look for the beauty, the gems that are tucked within the fabric of the everyday normal. Force yourself to wake up, to see, to remember, and to be thankful for the blessings that fill your life." - Anonymous

"A smile enriches those who receive it, without impoverishing those who give it." - Dale Carnegie

Hey everybody, thanks again for stopping by! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you. Whether I know you or not, I know that you are an amazing person and that you have so much more untapped potential in life. Focus on the positivity in your everyday life, but do it in a way that makes you feel comfortable. There is no "right" way to go about it, but I promise it will only improve your life. My hope is that you can take a few tips from this article to apply in your everyday life as you strive for greatness...Enjoy!

No matter who you are, what you're going through, or where you are headed... remind yourself to look for the beauty and positivity that is all around you. This is something everyone can do at any moment. Take a deep breathe, close your eyes, and reflect on the positives in your life. So many people get caught up trying to move too fast that stress and negativity clouds their view of what their world should really look like. Try spending 15 minutes, twice a day, sitting back and reflecting on everything positive that has been going on in your life. It can be reminding yourself of the positive family relationships, friendships, life lessons, career opportunities, or even just the smallest details/successes that only you know about. Just like frowning takes much more effort than smiling, thinking negative takes a much larger toll on your mental and physical health than thinking positive. It also affects others around you as well as other people's perception of you. Nobody wants to be the person that others can't stand. It takes a lot of energy to be negative, you have to work at it. But smiling and focusing on the positive points of views is painless. I'd rather spend my energy smiling. :-)

Remind yourself of what you've been able to overcome. All the times you felt like you weren't going to make it through, you proved yourself wrong. You're more powerful than you think. I mean... you're here right now. You've gone through a lot of rocky moments in life that you didn't think you'd ever get past, but YOU made it. You have also experienced so much joy and positivity on the way. Don't forget about those positive moments, learn from the obstacles, but build your mind around the joyful and positive details you've experienced. Make this a habit every day in your life. You are an amazing person and you need to be the first person to recognize that each morning you wake up. It is not selfish to put yourself first when YOU create YOUR life. When you take time for yourself, you make everything around you better, including others. Remember, life is what YOU make of it. No matter what happens to you, keep your head held up high. Go have fun in life and kick some ass! I'll be rooting for you!
