MN travels to #24 Iowa with hopes to break 8 game losing streak and to bring Floyd of Rosedale home.

Hey everybody! It's BACON WEEK! Our 3-3 Minnesota Gophers travel to Iowa to face the 6-1, #24 Iowa Hawkeyes. This is one of the longest running rivalries in all of college football with Minnesota leading the all time series 62-52-2. More recently, though, Iowa has come out on top in the last 8 matchups. This has got to stop because this Iowa football program is not good. Other teams have beaten Iowa over the last 8 seasons, but we haven't and I am sick of it.

Points will likely be at a premium again on Saturday. The Big Ten West leading Hawkeyes have statistically the worst offense in the nation, and the Gophers are only slightly better. The difference is that Iowa, as we have seen over the years, has been able to rely on strong defense and special teams to accumulate wins.

I do not think there will be many points scored in this matchup. I predict a 20-10 victory for the Iowa Hawkeyes and keeping Floyd of Rosedale hostage for yet another season. Iowa will get to 20 points by kicking 2 field goals, 1 defensive TD, and 1 special teams TD. Minnesota's QB is playing horribly this year and that will not change at Iowa, after he threw 2 pick-6's last game against Michigan. Hopefully Minnesota can grow a pair and pull out a victory, we are past due for a win against Iowa.
